The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has removed “homeless” from a list of safety concerns riders can report. On Tuesday, the TTC announced it launched new forms of communication for customers that need to report safety concerns. In addition to its safety app, riders can now text their concerns to 647-496-1940 or fill out a web form. The Golden Bears took that 5-0 lead into the third period where they quickly scored again on another power play. Preziuso recorded the hat trick at 12:04 on Alberta’s fifth power play goal of the game.

A film production company wanted to know if she’d be willing to work on a documentary based on her reporting on how Clayoquot Sound’s War in the Woods transformed Nuu-chah-nulth homelands. In 1984, Nuu-chah-nulth nations famously turned away logging company MacMillan Bloedel, which planned to clear cut old-growth forests — some of which were more than 1,000 years old. Geoff: At the core of it is the importance of old-growth forests and we look at it [from] two or three different perspectives. Part of War for the Woods was filmed amongst old-growth forests in Avatar Grove, on Pacheedaht Territory, near Port Renfrew. Nelson ZandbergenFarmers ForumBRINSTON — A multi-million-dollar silo digester that can handle manure from about 10 dairy farms is nearing completion on Thurler Farms, southwest of Winchester. It’s the first in a planned fleet of 310 units nationwide to extract methane from most of the manure produced on Canada’s 10,000 dairy farms by 2030. Participating farmers will also get a share of revenues that GET Corp. earns from the sale of methane — otherwise known as Renewable Natural Gas when cleaned up for the natural gas grid. The methane brewed at Thurler Farms will be cleaned and liquified on site, and transported via an 18-wheeler tanker truck to a Peterborough site for injection into Enbridge’s natural gas grid. Biogas now accounts for over 25 % of the gas flowing through the Danish natural gas grid.
