On Wednesday, it yet again caused a stir in the fashion world with the announcement of its Microscopic Handbag. So tiny, in fact, that the group lost some of the “bags” when the samples first arrived, reported The New York Times. “There are big handbags, normal handbags, and small handbags, but this is the final word in bag miniaturization,” the collective said in the Instagram post. The Microscopic Handbag will go on sale this month as part of Just Phriends, an auction organized by Sarah Andelman and Joopiter, the digital-first auction house and content platform founded by Pharrell Williams.

A cold, wet start to June is playing havoc with the summer growing season across much of Newfoundland and Labrador. The government said in the 2017 budget that it would spend at least $5.53 billion through this program by 2021-22. But, according to the Public Accounts, the government only spent $2.36 billion over that period. But Page still believes the gaps between budget pledges and actual spending on climate initiatives raise important questions. Brouillette, with Climate Action Network Canada, said spending commitments on climate action have “substantially increased” under the Liberal government. Four of the incidents in early 2023 resulted in library staff reportedly being injured physically or psychologically, according to the report. The minister said Wednesday an additional 13,000 active employees with regional centres for education and with the province’s francophone school board had personal data stolen, including names, addresses and social insurance numbers. As well, hackers stole personal data from about 17,500 water and tax bill accounts with the Region of Queens Municipality in southwestern Nova Scotia, along with data from the Nova Scotia Pension Agency. The province said Halifax Water has also notified 25,000 customers that names and account numbers were a part of the data breach. Callow said the data could be sold or traded, or used for phishing — a type of email scam that entices people to share personal data. LeBlanc said the province does not plan to hold more briefings on the data breach but will provide updates via press releases and social media.
