Rules on computer games, social media relaxedThe Ministry of Information and Communications said on April 20 that the Government has relaxed business conditions for those providing computer gaming services, and launching and operating news aggregators and social networks. The more liberal conditions are provided in the Government’s Decree 27/2018, which is the revised and supplemented version of Decree 72/2013 on management, provision and use of the Internet and electronic news. Decree 27/2018 does not require businesses to recruit only managers who hold a bachelor’s or higher degree to take charge of computer gaming services. The new decree just requires scanned copies of business registration certificates and business establishment decisions, instead of only those certified or notorized, Lam noted. Decree 27/2018 of March 1 comes into force on April 15 and removes a total of 11 business registration conditions and 13 administrative procedures.

Shares slump on selling pressureThe VN-Index on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) dropped 43.08 points to 1,076.78 points on April 23, representing a decrease of 3.85 percent. A total of 218 million shares worth over 7.1 trillion VND (312.4 million USD) were traded on the HOSE.
