Third-quarter GDP growth is forecast to have risen 4.0% on year, and 2.0% on a quarter-on-quarter, seasonally adjusted basis, according to the WSJ poll. "With services inflation still elevated, the conditions are not in place for monetary policy easing," ANZ head of Asia research Khoon Goh said. Preliminary GDP data showing strong growth would also back the case to not start easing yet, Goh said. ANZ economists expect the RBI to watch how food prices develop before it moves to cut the policy rate, which they pencil in for December. HSBC economists expect 25-basis-point cuts from BSP in both October and December, considering the door to easing "wide open."

It’s very hard for them to do this. But the endorsement of the official union of the Border Patrol agents – the entire union is endorsing me. It’s a great honor. So let’s show our appreciation for the unbelievable service to our country.

And he’s not — But here’s the thing, North Carolina — and he’s not being transparent with the voters. Every other presidential camp — every other presidential candidate in modern era has done it. He is unwilling to do a “60 Minutes” interview, like every other major-party candidate has done for more than half a century. Here’s the thing. It makes you wonder why does his staff want him to hide away?

Israel has issued many evacuation orders for the north throughout the yearlong war, the most recent of which was Sunday. One official with knowledge of the matter said parts of the plan are already being implemented, without specifying which parts. The State Department spokesperson has said the United States is against any plan that would bring direct Israeli occupation in Gaza. “All Gazans are afraid of the plan,” said Jomana Elkhalili, a 26-year-old Palestinian aid worker for Oxfam living in Gaza City with her family. “North Gaza is now divided into two parts,” Soloh said.

CEO of social media platform X, car company Tesla Motors and spacecraft manufacturer SpaceX, Musk, clashed with Labour and the PM Keir Starmer repeatedly over the far-right riots which erupted in the summer. AdvertisementHowever, Jonathan Reynolds did not reference any of these clashes when pressed about Musk’s absence from the summit on Sky News. “Come on, Elon Musk is not thousands of people!” Phillips replied – but Reynolds refused to be drawn. The former PM welcomed Musk for last November’s AI summit, and they held a fireside chat together.

A CNN panel erupted on Sunday when a conservative panelist suggested Vice President Kamala Harris was losing ground to former President Trump with male voters because Democrats care more about "dudes who want to become women." CNN pundit Scott Jennings said Harris had a "rough week" of polling, particularly with registered male voters during State of the Union. Democrats struggling with African American voters, particularly African American men. "And I think what they are now finally…coming to realize is that a lot of men think Democrats care more about dudes who want to become women than dudes who just want to be dudes," he added before the other panelists interrupted with some groaning and saying, "no, no." Imagine if having children came with more than $150,000 in cheap loans, a subsidized minivan and a lifetime exemption from income taxes. But the decline hit Europe harder and faster than demographers expected—a foreshadowing of the sudden drop in the U.S. fertility rate in recent years. The U.S. fertility rate is 1.6. Hungary’s fertility rate collapsed after the fall of the Soviet Union and by 2010 was down to 1.25 children for every woman. Hungary’s fertility rate has fallen for the past two years.

Editor’s note: John Kennedy, the author of this letter, is a board member of Evanston Community Lakehouse and Gardens (ECLG). This organization submitted a bid to the city’s Request for Proposals for rehabilitating the Harley Clarke mansion, and is in competition with the proposals from Celadon and Farpoint/RATIO discussed in this letter. Reviewing the financial operating plans of the proposals can provide an insight into each of the operations going forward. Caveat: This analysis is based on a lot of assumptions because the financial operational plans and financial structure have not been made public. The portion a venue like Harley Clarke could claim as revenue is from rental of the venue, catering, and maybe transportation.

By JOSH BOAK, AAMER MADHANI and DARLENE SUPERVILLEKamala Harris used an appearance Sunday before a largely Black church audience in battleground North Carolina to call out Donald Trump for spreading misinformation about the government's hurricane response. Florida was in the path of both storms, with Helene also hitting North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, while Milton headed for the open Atlantic. Trump has said the Biden administration’s storm response was lacking, particularly in western North Carolina after Helene. Biden and Harris have hammered Trump for promoting falsehoods about the federal response. Biden said Trump was “not singularly" to blame for the spread of misinformation but that he has the "biggest mouth.”“They blame me for everything.
