NEW DELHI: Lack of clarity over when the winter session of Parliament will be scheduled sparked off a political fight with Congress alleging that BJP is running away from debating GST and demonetisation and the government saying Parliament has been much more productive than when UPA held office.Congress demanded that the government announce the dates of the winter session and AICC spokesman Manish Tewari expressed surprise that the House had not been convened even though the session is usually called by the third week of November. He said 15 days are required as advance notice to MPs.Minister of state for parliamentary affairs Mukhtar Naqvi said, "I don't think Congress has been very bothered over productivity of Parliament. Despite Congress repeatedly disrupting Parliament, much more business has been transacted as compared to UPA. "Naqvi said with parties busy in the assembly elections in Gujarat , many MPs have suggested that the session be delayed. "If Parliament is in session, it must be taken seriously.
