(Google Maps)South Africa’s lockdown rules were changed on Tuesday to reopen a border post with Lesotho. South Africa’s Disaster Management Act, which governs the country’s response to Covid-19 through lockdown regulations, has been updated to reopen a border post between Lesotho and the Eastern Cape. This included the closure of South Africa’s busiest border posts, including Beitbridge, Lebombo, Maseru Bridge, Oshoek, Ficksburg and Kopfontein. The Telle Bridge port of entry, connecting South Africa to Lesotho, remained closed throughout the lockdown. It is a non-commercial entry point, which prohibits the movement of goods of a certain value by post between South Africa and Lesotho.
