A DRIVER has been hit with a shocking $500 towing fee after an accident that wasn’t their fault, and later discovered a $350 surcharge. When she and her husband Les discovered the astronomical cost for the removal of the car, they were in shock. When the tow ordered by the Billings Police Department arrived, the driver told Les of the $500 charge. “He said that the Montana Tow Truck Association has implemented that price on anybody who’s dispatched to an accident,” Les recalled. The U.S. Sun has reached out to the Montana Tow Trucking Association for comment.
