RANCHI: All opposition parties vowed to make Jharkhand bandh on Monday "a huge success". The bandh was planned in advance against Barkagaon police firing which killed four persons, but Saturday's police firing in Khunti seems to have given it a fillip. It is equal to killing democracy," said Marandi.Marandi's JVM-P is among the key parties which have called Monday bandh. The police work with the same attitude and believe in attacking unarmed civilians," said Sahay.Multiple tribal organizations are supporting the bandh. Additional forces would be deployed throughout the state, especially in sensitive parts for eventualities," said police spokesperson MS Bhatia.
