iZettle: From Swedish Fintech Success To Europe's Biggest Fintech IPO


Swedish fintech iZettle announced last week that they intend on selling shares and launching an IPO in order to raise SKr2bn by listing on Nasdaq Stockholm. With plans to increase revenue by 40 per cent a year, iZettle aims to also break even by 2020. As reported in the Financial Times, the startup's co-founder and CEO, Jacob de Geer said:Overall fintech is on the rise in Europe. With both Adyen and Funding Circle both looking to set up IPOs, iZettle will be first European fintech to seek a stock market listing in 2018. Founded by Jacob de Geer and Magnus Nilsson in 2010, the fintech for small businesses aims to offer products and services with the aim of simplifying payments with its app.
