This year, as with every other year, we have Apple and Samsung going head to head with their handsets. To cut this scene-setting short, 2020 is going to be typified by the Samsung Galaxy S20 and the iPhone 12 going head to head… and Apple has a distinct advantage over Samsung specifically and the Android competition in general. By the time the (also presumptively named) iPhone 12 family arrives in September, that advantage should be larger. Now consider Apple’s iPhone Upgrade Program, which has converted a one-off iPhone purchase into a regular monthly payment and it includes AppleCare+ as part of the package. Take that monthly payment and add on a discounted subscription cost that covered all of Apple’s services.
