Paramount PicturesThe director of the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie has promised fans that he’ll address their incredibly vocal concerns about the design of the film’s hero, following two solid days of fan backlash. However, the real shocks and anger came from the portrayal of the Sonic franchise’s hero and villain. Just three hours before Fowler’s announcement that changes were afoot, Ohshima registered his own concerns about the movie’s characterization of Sonic, saying: “So far, various Sonics have appeared. I saw a trailer of Sonic's movie. For many, however, the damage may have already been done – but let’s hope Sonic the Hedgehog overcomes expectations when it finally hits cinemas, however low these may now be.
