The Sangram Kendras in Gram Panchayat offices are not easily accessible to all within their coverage areas. “We held camps in anganwadis and schools, and announced them in gram panchayats a week in advance,” Dr. Patil-Deshmukh says. On the anvil: a policy brief for advocacy with the State government, and lobbying to get the Sangram Kendras include a host of e-governance schemes. The Kendras, Dr. Patil-Deshmukh says, “won’t survive on once-a-lifetime certificates, but on schemes and bill payments, which are recurrent expenditures. “Ours is a mobile Sangram Kendra, and we want to make it sustainable,” says Dr. Patil-Deshmukh.
