As is evident from his speech on Saturday, Modi has decided that he is no mood to pay any attention to either of these groups. The interesting turn that the speech took was when Modi made an attempt to isolate the Pakistan government internally rather than internationally. He compared India’s achievements to Pakistan and sardonically noted that while India exports software, Pakistan exports terror. It is heartening that PM Modi has made it clear that India’s anger at the repeated terror attacks would not be taken out on the ordinary citizens of Pakistan. It is heartening that the Prime Minister has refused to be provoked by Pakistan’s self-defeating patronage of terrorism within its soil.
