BHOPAL: Taking suo motu cognisance of media reports on the "junked" medical examination report of the Bhopal gang rape survivor that referred to "sexual intercourse with consent", the Madhya Pradesh high court on Friday registered a case and issued notice to the chief secretary, DGP, IG and SP of Bhopal police as well as the principal secretaries of home, and public health and family welfare.Earlier on Friday, DGP R K Shukla asked the SIT looking into the case to submit its report at the earliest, even as the administration served showcause notices on two women doctors — Khushbhu Gajbhiye and Sanyogita — over the junked medical report The report, prepared by doctors at Sultania Lady Hospital, was riddled with errors — even terming the survivor "accused". Bhopal divisional commissioner served notices on the doctors, asking them to reply within three days, notwithstanding their claim that it was an "inadvertent" mistake.Investigating officers said the report had errors but confirmed the woman was sexually assaulted. The report was made on November 1, and promptly junked promptly. But it surfaced in the media reports eight days later, adding to the slew of controversies in the case.
