KUALA LUMPUR: Injured firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim is conscious and able to move his eyes and hands but is still in critical condition due to internal injuries, says Zuraida Kamaruddin. "I urge all Malaysians to pray for Muhammad Adib's speedy recovery," she said after the visit. In a statement on Sunday, IJN said Muhammad Adib has suffered progressive deterioration of his lung function in the last 24 hours. It said that a thorough assessment showed signs of consolidation and hardening of the lung tissue, thus making gas exchange ineffective. Muhammad Adib was severely injured after being attacked by a mob during last month’s Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple riots.
