Social media tycoon Mark Zuckerberg's latest business venture to raise “world-class” beef cattle at his huge luxury Hawaiian hideout has been ridiculed as out of touch and environmentally irresponsible. “Began raising cattle [the] Ko'olau Ranch on Kauai, and my goal is to create some of the highest quality beef in the world,'' Zuckerberg wrote on Instagram. “Each cow eats 5,000-10,000 pounds of food every year, so that's several acres of macadamia trees. Climate scientists have warned that consumption must fall, especially in the developed world, to limit the most damaging effects of the climate crisis. On social media platform X, owned by rival Elon Musk, reaction to Zuckerberg's new career as a beef farmer was largely mocking.
