Zimbabwean novelist Tsitsi Dangarembga and Ethiopian-American author Maaza Mengiste are among 13 authors on a list of contenders for the prestigious Booker Prize for fiction this year. (I’m not crying, you’re crying). (I'm not crying, you're crying). According to The Booker Prize, the shortlist of six books will be announced on Tuesday, 15 September. Dangarembga and Mengiste who are up with contenders like two-time Booker Prize winner, and are the only two writers from Africa on the list of 13 authors.
