KUALA LUMPUR: National coach Yang Zhuliang is regarded as the father of Malaysian diving. Zhuliang's contract under the Podium Programme has not been renewed and indications are he is leaving Malaysia by Dec 31. The 53-year-old coach, who returned from Australia after a month-long break, said his contract has not come up for discussion. "It looks like they don't want me to be in charge of the national team anymore,” said Zhuliang, who has been the national coach since 2008, on Monday. Pandelela also made history by taking bronze in the platform individual at the London Olympics in 2012.
