(MENAFN - Daily News Egypt) The Minister of Health Hala Zayed decreed on Monday the implementation of health insurance to cover constructions, salt evaporation ponds, and quarry workers. Around 264 labourers will enjoy health insurance, according to Soheir Abdel-Hamid, head of the new Health Insurance Authority. The decree, according to the Health Ministry statement, came in response to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi directions to developing the health insurance system to cover non-regular workers. The number of non-regular workers in Egypt is not specified, but it estimated with millions. Those workers enjoy no privileges that may including fair payments, pensions or health and social insurance.
