Another RBC Canadian Open has come and gone, and once again there was no Canadian in the winner’s circle. However, four Canadian golfers cracked the top 30, six Canadians made the cut and 26 Canadians, in total, played in the $7.6-million PGA Tour event at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club. It was a particularly strong field for this year’s Canadian Open, which this year acts as a warm-up for the U.S. Open. But the Saskatoon Amateur men’s golf championship, now the Scotia Wealth Management Saskatoon Amateur, will take place July 6 and 7 at Dakota Dunes Golf Links and Riverside Country Club. The dates do not conflict with any Golf Saskatchewan events and promise a great competitive lead-up to the provincial crown jewels.
