ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Wednesday rejected the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s claim that former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari owned benami properties. Addressing a press conference, PPP Information Secretary Senator Moula Bux Chandio said that the party categorically denies that Zardari owned benami properties. He challenged the government to approach the court if it had evidence in this regard rather than holding press conferences. “The PTI government has miserably failed on all fronts and is busy to blame game just to hide its failures,” he said. “Even a child knows why he is going to stay at the Pakistani embassy because he is wanted by US authorities,” he added.
