The Minister of Defence, Brigadier-General Mansur Dan’Ali, has disclosed that even with one million soldiers, killings in Zamfara State may not end without support from the communities. The minister, who was in Gusau, on Saturday, said he was in the state on an assessment tour. According him, “in fighting insurgency, communities have to support the efforts of security agencies. The minister explained that the issue of security was everybody’s business, adding that communities, being familiar with their terrain should support the military in fighting insurgent in the state. The minister sympathised with families of slained soldiers as a result of insurgeny.
