The recent judgement of the Zamfara State High Court, confirming Alhaji Muhktar Shehu Idris Gusau, the Kogunan Gusau, as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC ), is a victory for democracy and the incumbent Governor of the state, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, Shatiman Mafara, a retired Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Ahmed Bala Gummi, has said. The judgment, according to the Chieftain of the APC, who is also the Wazirin Gummi, has vindicated Governor Yari, as well as has shown that the judiciary is fair, just and honest. He said that, with the judgement, Gusau Central Senatorial District has now produced a governorship candidate for the first time in the history of the state, while the running mate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman, also hails from Gummi. Alhaji Ahmed Bala Gummi specifically expressed happiness with the reconstruction and asphalting of the Mayanchi to Anka to Bukkuyum to Gummi road by the Governor, recalling that, it used to be hell plying the road hitherto. “The Governor is pious, humble, patriotic and honest, while his penchant for the even socioeconomic prosperity of the state and Nigeria, in general, is unparalleled,” Gummi concluded.
