ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines –Unidentified armed men abducted a family of three in Barangay (village) Kulisap in Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay on Friday night. He identified the victims as couple Elmer and Nora Romoc, and their seven-year-old son. ADVERTISEMENTElmer works at the Payao municipal treasurer’s office while Nora supervises their two small stores. Beltran said the masked suspects struck between 6:30 to 7 p.m. and fled with the captives on a sea craft. Chief Superintendent Billy Beltran, the Western Mindanao police director, said they were puzzled by the abduction as the family was not rich.
