BEIJING: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pix) arrived here Monday for a three-day working visit to China. On Tuesday, he will attend the opening ceremony of the 86th General Assembly of Interpol, themed “Connecting Police for a Safer World." Dr Ahmad Zahid and wife Datin Seri Hamidah Khamis were greeted by Malaysian Ambassador to China Datuk Zainuddin Yahya and wife Datin Fairos Ishak, as well as officers from China’s Public Security Ministry at Beijing Capital International Airport at 8.30pm on Monday. This is his third official trip to China as deputy prime minister since 2015. Dr Ahmad Zahid, also the Home Minister, will be meeting Chinese Public Security Minister Guo Shengkun and Secretary of Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, Meng Jianzhu.
