A number of manufacturers continued to increase mobile phone prices in October. According to the price lists obtained by Daily News Egypt, mobile manufacturers ZTE, Infinix, and Sony increased the prices of their mobile devices at ratios ranging from 1.5% to 8%. Infinix products witnessed the sharpest increase in prices among the three companies in October, with increase ratios ranging between 6.5% and 8%. ZTE mobile prices increased between 2.7% and 5.4%, as the price of its R550 jumped from EGP 185 to EGP 195, while the price of the A910 increased from EGP 2,799 to EGP 2,899. Japan’s Sony had the lowest ratio of price increase for its products with ratios that ranged between 1.5% and 3.5%.
