Bristol Rovers have signed winger Yusuf Akhamrich on loan from Tottenham Hotspur for the rest of the season. The 20-year-old has yet to make a senior appearance for the Premier League side but has been a regular for their under-21 squad and played against the Gas when the two teams met in the Vertu Trophy in a 4-4 draw in August. Akhamrich has represented Morocco at under-20 level and is Bristol Rovers' fifth signing of January following Riley Harbottle, Kane Thompson-Sommers, Kofi Balmer and Ryan De Havilland. "I first watched him last year, retained him in my notes for the future and I made my move last week to get him here, but we had to be patient for the loan to be ticked off by the manager at Spurs," Rovers manager Steve Evans said. "He is a young lad with a lot of potential and has already shown at the Mem this season what he can offer."
