Yui Ohashi of Japan won her second gold medal of the Tokyo Games in the women’s 200-meter individual medley, finishing in 2:08:52. Ohashi came on strong in the final 25 meters to overtake Americans Kate Douglass and Alex Walsh by seven one-hundreths of a second. Walsh finished just ahead of Douglass, her University of Virginia teammate, who won the bronze in 2:09.04. Katinka Hosszu of Hungary, the defending champion and world- record holder, was in the race, but Hosszu has failed to match her previous form. She finished seventh.
