Cargo handlers at Hong Kong Airport have made a rather unexpected discovery at the weekend while unloading a flight from Singapore – four tiny kittens were found onboard. Two white and two black little bundles of fur were spotted in the Singapore Airlines cargo plane, and no-one knows yet how it was paw-sible that they got there. Hong Kong's Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) were notified, and the story could have ended in a cat-astrophe from there as stray, non-quarantined animals are often put down to prevent the spread of diseases like rabies. Facebook group ‘Catching Cats and Shadows' started a social media campaign to prevent the kittens suffering the same fate, and it seems to have worked. "Upon completion of the quarantine and investigation, adoption will be arranged through partnering animal welfare organisations according to the condition of the cats," AFCD said, which should mean a purr-fect ending to their travels.
