NEWSMost young people, aged between 18 and 35, would like government to provide them with free data after the Covid-19 national lockdown, a new survey has found. The respondents, who felt they needed free data after the lockdown, made up 37.6% of those polled. RECONNECTEDData analyst Gibson Mudiriza said the need for free data showed that young people wanted to be reconnected again in order to look for jobs so they could get back on their feet. “The question is how will this free data be packaged, because this is a heterogenous group of youth who obviously need different packages.” Mudiriza said. “They will need interventions from someone to revive their business, but 57.6% of them did not apply for relief funding and you wonder why.
