According to the police, the accused, Sushil Ramnath (name changed), studying in a reputed engineering college of Bangalore was intercepted at the immigration counter of the airport where he showed his fake visa to staff. The Intelligence Bureau and immigration officers then checked the list of persons to whom visas were issued and found that a visa was not issued on his name, and that he was attempting to fly to the USA with a fake visa. "During questioning, he revealed that he wanted to travel to the USA with his girlfriend but did not manage to get a valid visa. He then forged a visa using a dummy visa available online. The accused has been arrested and a case under relevant sections of the IPC for forgery has been registered at Sahar police station.
