KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Youth Council (MYC) has joined other groups in calling for the resignation of P. Waytha Moorthy, following the death of firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim. Jufitri said Waytha must realise that the people were dissatisfied with his performance, and that he should step down if he listened to the people's voice. Checks showed that Waytha had recently temporarily deactivated his Facebook page, but it is now active again. Should Waytha stay reluctant to resign, Jufitri said that youth groups would make a more concerted effort to ensure that he does, adding that an NGO is also planning to hold a rally in Penang this Friday (Dec 21) to demand for the same. MYC was established on July 23, 1948 and is an NGO that functions as the main body in coordinating registered youth and student groups in Malaysia.
