A team of Dimla police apprehended Akash Roy Nirab, 23, at Savar in Dhaka on Sunday evening, said Dimla police station Officer-in-Charge Sirajul Islam. Nirab, a resident of Goyabari village in the upazila, posted derogatory remarks about the prophet through his Facebook account on Saturday, he said. Being informed, Dimla Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Jayasri Rani Roy, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (Domar circle) Joybrata Pal, and other police officials went to the spot. They pacified the people by giving assurance that the youth will be arrested and brought to book, the OC added.
