Your city just got hotter. NOAA announced new climate normals Tuesday

(CNN) The new climate normals released by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on Tuesday reveal that weather across the US is warming. NOAA releases the climate normals every 10 years and they reflect data from the past 30 years. Climate Normals period from 1901-1930 (upper left) to 1991-2020 (lower right). Salt Lake City's average temperature has also risen dramatically -- by 1 degree, and the 15-year average shows an even warmer average temperature to reflect more recent weather. In a city like Los Angeles, the average high temperature has actually cooled while lows have slightly warmed, decreasing the daily temperature variation.
