All Years Six and Eight pupils from the 21 local schools gathered at Beau Sejour for the ultimate and ever-popular school quiz of the year. Funded by the Ana Leaf Foundation, the tense event is a chance for the island’s smart youngsters to flaunt their knowledge and go head-to-head in seven fast-paced rounds. ‘I actually took part in the first ever one of these in sixth form,’ said Mr Gallienne. It’s really important, and it’s so nice for the parents and teachers to see them in this setting. The Jersey rounds take place in a fortnight and the inter-island final is being staged in Jersey on 24 March.
