The youngest of four sisters has failed in her bid to challenge her mother's will in a South Otago farming family that has developed millions in assets. Mr and Mrs Walker wanted their estate split equally between their four daughters: Dale, Gaye, Jill and Helen. However, the mother's will did result in the youngest daughter, Helen, taking action under the Family Protection Act 1955. ``Helen received substantially less than her two middle sisters under her late mother's will,'' Justice Rachel Dunningham wrote in her judgement, filed on March 20. Because Helen only received $1,733,509 in benefits, the accountant calculated she has been disadvantaged by about $346,620.
