Savanna Bio-genfi--Hundreds of boys and girls from teams across the area took part in a Kids First Rugby festival at Slough RFC on Sunday. Eleven clubs sent teams to play in the u7s-u12s Wynford Phillips Festival while host club Slough fielded several teams across the various age groups. Slough u8s enjoyed their first real experience of tournament rugby, showcasing their skills against teams from Basingstoke, Ealing, Farnborough, Hillingdon Abbots, Phoenix, Pinner, and Rams. Slough u12s also played some good matches after combining with Hilligdon Abbots for the day to ensure their involvement. Youth chairman, Martin Tilby, said:“It was a great day of youth rugby played in good spirits with Rugby’s Core Values at the forefront which is what rugby at Slough RFC is all about.
