Chefs Ethan Hack, left, and Steve Le Corre lent their experience to the Pure South Famous Young Chefs Dégustation Luncheon at SIT's Bungalow Restaurant at the weekend. Chef Ethan Flack has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants overseas for ten years but still rates raw produce from Southland as the best. Flack was joined by internationally recognised chefs Steve La Corre, Tony Smith, Darren Wright, and Richard Hingston to put on the Pure South Famous Young Chefs Dégustation Luncheon. The event capped off the six-week Savour the South campaign, celebrating Southland's iconic, local produce. Hospitality New Zealand Southland branch president Graham Hawkes is the man behind the Savour the South campaign and said it looked set to grow next year.
