Annually, BookFest aims to bring scholars, authors, and thinkers to the centre of the community, Wimbledon Common. Fiona Razvi for example was drawn to her Southeast Asian heritage and the prestigious Lahore Literary Festival that takes place annually in Pakistan. One previous volunteer stated: As a steward for Wimbledon Bookfest this year, it was a great opportunity for me to expand my literary exposure from seeing lectures in person. There were authors invited who were part of the Lahore Literary Festival, and this was a brilliant chance for me to see representation as a British Pakistani myself. So, whether you are a bookworm or just starting your reading journey, Wimbledon BookFest offers something for everyone.
