With restaurant trips, screen-happy relatives, and the never-ending paternal quest for peace, it’s difficult to resist YouTube’s alluring promise of sweet silence. The vast majority seem to feature Spiderman and Elsa together, with Elsa often depicted as being pregnant, for some reason. This luridly-colored vomit is being pushed through a vast pipeline, connected through keywords and highlighted via YouTube’s algorithms. Here’s a video titled “Spiderman Watching Under Anna's Skirt!” The title pretty much sums it up - it currently stands at more than a million views. Here’s a channel called “Lyra Kids TV.” Look at the thumbnails and tell me you’d be comfortable with your children watching any of these videos.
