On November 5th, Youtube officially introduced shopping ads that allow brands and businesses to visually advertise their products and services. YouTube Catching Up With Visual AdvertisingSocial media networks such as Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok have already implemented shopping ads and features as their main opportunity for brand exposure. However, YouTube has yet to leverage this form of advertising through their latest update and the introduction of shopping ads on the platform. Much like the traditional type of ads, the shopping ads on YouTube will be based on users’ interests. Overall, shopping ads will add more versatility in brands’ marketing strategies and allow for much greater exposure to new audiences.
