President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday congratulated Kenyan Peter Mokaya Tabichi for scooping the Global Teacher Prize 2019. Mokaya is a maths and physics teacher in Kericho. Uhuru praised Tabichi for his good deeds as it emerged he's not only a great teacher but also donates 80 per cent of his pay to keep poor learners in school. It is an incredible achievement to have been chosen from among 10,000 nominations from across the world, President Kenyatta said. You are a shining example of what the human spirit can achieve, not just for Kenya, not just for Africa but for the world,” Uhuru said.
