You have the legal ‘right’ to eat meat, but morality is a separate issue

While Taxpayer and Jenny Moxham debate the issue of “rights” neither one of them makes a distinction between legal and moral rights. For example, it used to be legal in many places in America to own slaves. In a democracy, people have a legal and moral right to say if they think it is right or wrong to eat meat. But what makes me angry is that while people think McDonald’s and KFC have a right to tell us to eat in their restaurants, apparently I don’t have the right to say that’s a bad idea. So for meat-eaters to say that everyone in the world has a right to express their opinions except vegetarians is fascist, self-serving and hypocritical.
