People who are fully vaccinated will no longer need a pre-departure test before returning from non-red list destinations, and from October, will be able to replace the day two PCR test with a cheaper lateral flow test. AdvertisementThe trouble is, lateral flow test results have the potential to be faked by getting someone else to take the test for you. Business minister Paul Scully has confirmed the government could scrap departure and arrival PCR tests from as early as the October half-term holiday.
