The northbound and southbound lanes on Yonge St. between King and Wellington Sts. remain closed following Thursday’s water main break. While the city initially only closed off the southbound lanes, it also had to shut down the northbound lanes at 9 p.m. on Thursday. The subway entrance at Melinda St. was also shut down by the TTC after water poured down the stairs. Toronto Water said the water break should be repaired by Monday and roads cleaned up and opened, but this is not a certainty.
