SAN’A, Yemen—Former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh said he would be open to dialogue with the Saudi-led coalition his forces have been fighting for nearly three years if it ceased fire, as his fighters clashed with Iran-backed Houthis in the capital, signaling disintegration in the rebel alliance. Mr. Saleh said in a televised interview on Saturday with Yemen al-Youm that he is willing to open a “new page” to deal with the Saudi coalition if it ended its blockade.
