The Met office has issued a yellow weather warning for prolonged heavy wind and rain from Wednesday evening (November 1) until the end of Thursday. The warning for heavy rain has been issued for the south of the county with the warning being issued as far north as Rhayader and Presteigne. Storm Ciarán is expected to bring disruption coming less than a fortnight after Storm Babet brought chaos to the north of county. OTHER NEWS:According to the Met Office, Storm Ciarán will likely lead to flooding in the area they are warning "fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life". The Met Office also warned that "some communities may be cut off by flooded roads" and that "homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings".
