Yellow warning for rain for Waterford and two other counties

A Status Yellow warning for rain has been issued for three counties, with Met Éireann saying that heavy downpours may lead to flooding. The warning for Waterford, Wexford, and Wicklow, will come into effect at midnight on Tuesday and remain in place until 6pm. Cloud will then thicken towards the morning, leading to heavy rain, feeding in from the southwest. The rain will turn heavy at times and possibly wintry, with any snowfall most likely on higher ground. However, the rain will start to turn heavy over parts of the south and the east.
