A weather warning has been issued for Cork, Kerry and Waterford for thunderstorm activity on Saturday afternoon and evening. Another yellow alert for wind and rain is in place until 8pm for Cork and Kerry. Met Éireann is warning of difficult driving conditions, spot flooding, fallen branches and the possibility of lightening damage. A status yellow wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo was due to expire at 2pm. The forecaster said that scattered showers will continue overnight, with “rather blustery with fresh and gusty southwesterly winds”.
