MELAKA: A Year Three pupil has been hospitalised after a motorcyclist rammed into him on the first day of school near Jaim religious primary school at Umbai here. Nine-year-old Muhammad Luqman Aqasyah Hairy was walking towards his mother’s car after school was over when the incident happened at 4.15pm on Wednesday (Jan 2). Jasin OCPD Deputy Supt Arshad Abu said Muhammad Luqman has been warded at a private hospital with multiple injuries on his right leg and shoulders. He said the motorcyclist was a Bangladeshi man who was without a licence and only had his International passport on him. “My team is now tracing the owner of the motorcycle who allowed the foreigner to ride without a licence,” he added.
